No, you do not need a referral to see a dietitian. Any relevant test results or information that your doctor or specialist provides may be useful, please provided copies via email prior to your session.  

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you will most likely be eligible for a rebate. Please check with your insurer for further details.

If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM/EPC) provided by your GP, you can make a claim to Medicare to receive a proportion of the consultation fee back on lodging your receipt. Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 Dietetic services per person per calendar year. Your GP will need to arrange this prior to your appointment as CDM’s cannot be backdated. Please email through a copy to  info@medicalnutrition.com.au  prior to your appointment, to enable you to claim your rebate.  

As of 2023 the Medicare rebate is $58 per appointment

Payment will be processed at the conclusion of your consultation. You are required to enter your payment details to confirm you telehealth booking.

If for any reason you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible via email info@medicalnutrition.com.au or on (03) 9396 1528 so that we can reschedule your session and offer this time to another patient. Please note that cancellation less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment carries the full session fee.
